Laingsburg Middle School Science Fair
All LMS Students, Grades 6 - 8, are required to complete a project to display at the Science Night.Students will receive the Science Fair Project Planning Packet from their Science teacher in early February. Students project ideas will need to be approved by their teacher in early February.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of the Science Fair preparations will be completed AT HOME. |
Project Timeline 2015
February 9, 2015 - Students should have chosen their project topic and begun writing their project question in the planning packet.
February 9, 2015 - Students will bring in planning packet to show teacher their topic and project question; Teacher Approval
February 11, 2015 - Students will bring in completed research on their topic, written key terms and paragraph in planning packet for teacher progress
check. Hypothesis will also be checked for completion.
February 17, 2015 - Students will bring in written experimental design, variables, procedure and materials list for teacher progress check.
March 2, 2015 to
March 27, 2015 - Students will conduct their scientific experiments and record data and observations in their planning guide.
March 21, 2015 - Students will present their scientific data as tables, charts and/or graphs. These will be checked by the teacher.
April 2, 2015 - Students will present their conclusions to their teacher for a progress check.
April 13, 2015 to
April 15, 2015 - Class time will be used today for students to put together their Project Display Boards. Students must bring in all necessary
materials to complete their displays.
April 16, 2015 - Students Science Fair Project Planning Packet DUE.
